Il Relais is set in the 19th-century Palazzo Tommasi in the heart of Verona, opposite the Castelvecchio Castle. Rooms are elegantly furnished and feature wood floors, free Wi-Fi and an LCD TV. Your room has a view of Castelvecchio Castle or the River Adige. All rooms are air conditioned and feature satellite and pay-per-view channels and a private bathroom with slippers and toiletries. "What I loved was the personal service, this was not a corporate place it was a group of rooms on a second floor of a beautiful building across from the famous fort. You could come and go as you please it was like a home from home and you where treated like a family guest. There was no manned reception as such, but Frederica and Laura kept in touch with you via What's APP and are very helpful with anything you needed. Breakfast was very simple but with very high quality ingredients and served with such grace. The room although very expensive (we where visiting the show so prices are inflated) the quality of furnishings was amazing we had also had a garden balcony which was so beautifully done, the view wasn't great but the Place to sit was magical and so quiet. They where also very helpful if you are taking a later flight they let us keep a pass and store our luggage it meant we could have a nice day and not have any stress on our journey to the airport."

I have stayed in lots of hotels and this hotel had one of the best breakfasts I have experienced, lots of choice, all very fresh produce and eggs perfectly cooked to order. I will absolutely go back and highly recommend this boutique hotel"

"The breakfast was exceptional and the service was superb. The location is right on the edge of the Old Town with all that has to offer, and opposite the castle. Everything is within an easy walking distance. The Hotel secret weapon is Naima who was very welcoming and could not do enough for us."

"One of the most beautiful and spacious rooms I have ever stayed in - thoughtfully decorated with sumptuous fabrics and finishes. Every detail was thought of including a bowl of fresh fruit and chocolates, robes and slippers. Great location with balconies overlooking the Castelvecchio. And if that weren't enough, it is managed by the wonderful, warm Naima, who is at the ready to help with whatever you might need. This is a one-of-a-kind, absolutely exceptional lodging."
