Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. "We had a lively room at the far end of the hotel with views of both the ocean and the mountains. The rooms are clean, spacious and modern with all the expected amenities. We even had a welcome snack left for us which was a nice touch on our honeymoon. The Breakfast buffet is good and the restaurant is well laid out and has great views. The staff friendly and helpful and offered the Northern Lights service - they call you when they are showing."
"Try to avoid the road side rooms, whilst they overlook the ocean they maybe more noisy, although there is never much traffic in Iceland. Parking is a short walk away but long enough to get cold and wet when the weather is wild."

"Easy access by bus. Grocery store close by. Cool layout of the apartment. No elderly people on the 3-bed loft though due to the ladder. Had everything we wanted but a Micro Wave. Do try the IndoItalian restaurant in the same building, it was good."

"New, comfortable home with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Lovely views and the property is at the end of the street so very quiet. It has a wrap around decking and plenty of parking. The house is warm, the beds are comfortable, internet is fast, tv is large, and the kitchen has everything you need."
