"Location is great, the beach is right in front of it and it's walking distance 5-15min to a wide variety of restaurants. Staff is very helpful and caring, the chef was the friendliest specially with our baby :) Breakfasts were fantastic, place was overall very clean and being Costa Rica, the overall cost for a place like that is very decent. The hammocks and second floor balcony are a wonderful way to chill during the strong sunny hours."

"The place is old and I guess that is what makes it so cheap. A lot of things need changing or maintenance, but what killed us was the heat indoors. Our room on the second floor had 2 windows but the back window was plastered over, so with only 1 window in the hallway area, there was no airflow. Zero. Even if you leave the ceiling fan and floor fan on, next to the window, and come back 5h later, it feels like the air never moved, the room never cools. We spent loads of time playing with our baby with the door open just to cool it down. Shower was always cold so not very pleasant to wash hair. If you are sensitive to noise, please bear in mind that lots of people party on the hotel street on the weekends."
