"Everything was very nice and clean. Leo was an excellent host, always ready to help with anything needed. The breakfast was great and there is also the possibility to organize tours directly at the reception, which was very convenient. I definitely recommend rostro maya!"

"The property is about a 10–15 minute walk from San Juan and the lagoon, but the walk is pleasant and completely manageable. The place was clean, welcoming, and I had a very comfortable stay. The staff was always available and helpful, they organized tours as well as my shuttle transportation, which made everything very easy. Overall, it offers good value for money."

"Lovely peaceful space. There is a communal outdoor seating area, small garden and kitchen with plenty of utensils for cooking. The communal spaces are cleaned every day. Host Leon was just so lovely - so friendly, couldn’t do enough for us. He cooked us a wonderful breakfast of pancakes, yogurt and granola, fruit, toast and eggs every morning. There is one shared toilet and shower which is kept clean. Excellent value for money."

"Slightly out of town - it is an 8-10 minute walk to the ferry. This didn’t bother us too much as it meant it was quieter."

"The location was great. Away from noisy tuk tuks, about 15 min walk from the port. Room was comfortable, with nice communal areas and well equipped kitchen. There is only one toilet, one sink and one shower for all guests staying in the property. Francesca was a lovely host."

"There wasn’t running water one night. Apparently, it’s normal for the area. However, there wasn’t any information about it and the staff is not on the site over the night."

"Francisca, the person taking care of the property was very nice and friendly. We had interesting discussions about Guatemala and family in spanish. The location is not in the centerr of the village but a few min to walk which makes it somewhat more quiet."

"Even though it is not in the center and the street is not very busy, people with light sleep can wake up if a motorbike passes by."

"The owner is extremely welcoming and friendly from the very beginning. Breakfast was delicious, including fresh fruit with yogurt and granola, toast with eggs prepared in different ways, and a large pancake with peanut butter, along with great coffee or tea. Free drinking water is available at all times, which we really appreciated. The location is perfect for exploring the town. Our room had a private bathroom, was cozy and well equipped, and offered very good value for money. There was also hot water for showering, which was a big plus."

"The only small downside was a slightly unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Unfortunately, this seems to be something the accommodation cannot easily control. As we spent most of the day exploring, it did not bother us too much. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely choose this accommodation again."
