Ligt aan zandwegen, als het regent is de weg wel een beetje spannend.

"It was nice layout with lots of space. We wanted a quieter stay to relax for the last part of our trip. The pool area was nice. Loved having laundry in the unit. Beds very comfortable. Host was quick to communicate via booking.com with questions we had about the facility and bus to Santa Maria. However, did not tell us about the requirement of passes needed for bus and pool. Overall we did really enjoy our stay. There were a few minor things."

The area has several condo complexes with their own pool / lounge area. It appears that it used to be a vibrant area with shops and restaurants. But it was more of a ghost town. The community coffee shop was closed. There was a restaurant but we only saw it open once. The grocery store is nice, went there daily. The pool area is nice. There is a small building in pool area that could have been a bar/restaurant at one time, but it was empty. The grounds were well maintained. There is a bus that takes you to Santa Maria. You need a bus pass. Which was supplied by the host. However, was not initially told about this by host. Found out from other tourists. The pass is also needed in pool area. The pass had expired in 2024. Security did stop us for this, but let us continue to use facilities. Host assured that they would be replaced with active ones. The shower head in master bath likes to move around in its holster…causing water to get on washroom floor. (There is only half shower wall)

"Sympathique appartement propre où l'on est aux petits soins des locataires., très calme quand les chiens dorment...Un peu éloigné du centre, environ 1,5 km à 2km du centre ville et 3,5 de la belle plage . Ça se fait sans problème en traversant un quartier "authentique" Des boutiques plus ou moins importantes dans le voisinage Petit déjeuner très copieux, vous en avez assez jusqu'au soir, servi au rez-de-chaussée"

De part l'éloignement, cet appartement ne convient pas si vous restez très peu de temps à Mindelo

"A casa é bem confortável e grande, dispõe de máquina de lavar e ventiladores. Tem uma varanda lindinha pra tomar chá da tarde e fofocar com amigos. O senhorio, seu Virtuoso é bem gentil, atencioso e educado.☺️ Os quartos são espaçosos, mas só tem cama de casal. Tinha sabonete líquido no banheiro pra gente❤️"

A limpeza: Chegamos a casa estava completamente suja, o banheiro ainda tinha o lixo de outras pessoas. Tem uma obra gigante na casa vizinha que depositava muita poeira na residência. Nossa chegada: Houve por parte dos donos uma confusão na data e precisamos pagar um dia a mais na estadia. Os banheiros: existem duchas ao invés de chuveiros, a água não aquece tao rápido e estavam sujos quando chegamos, mandaram pessoas da limpeza mas com os nossos horários só foi fazer a limpeza de fato, 4 dias depois da nossa chegada. Os quartos: não haviam tolhas e lençóis o suficiente e não sei se foram trocados. Então acabamos usando os nossos.

"We arrived in Mindelo for the end of Carnival. The apartment is close to the port, the center of Mindelo, and the streets where the Carnival parade takes place. The apartment is comfortable, well-equipped, and even comes with beach towels. Everything is perfect. And the host, Ivan, is an exceptional person. Before our arrival, he always responded quickly to emails, then picked us up from the ferry, and then gave us excellent advice (which café to go to watch the sunset on the terrace, what dessert to try there (couscous)). He is so friendly and easy to talk to (he speaks perfect English) and is great at sharing the joy of Carnival. Even after returning home (to Poland), we received several videos from him of the end of Carnival, which was incredibly kind of him. Ivan, the host of the apartment, is the friendliest person we met in Cape Verde."
