"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

"We were very much in doubt about this place, due to the low ratings. However, the reality is that the hotel was hit badly by the December 2024 earthquake and they are currently rebuilding the place. We got one of the new rooms. Thus, everything is freshly painted and all furniture is new. Consequently, we can highly recommend it for a night or two if you need to be close to the airport. It is just a short walking distance."

"It is a very special location. The large rock pool is absolutely unique. Great for swimming and looking at coral fish. We have never seen this at any other place we stayed."

"Our stay at the freshwater Plantation farm stay was absolutely amazing! The bungallow is so beautiful, it is situated directly on the beach and has an amazing sea view. They also have a super nice restaurant, with delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Try the chicken Parmiggiana! We really enjoyed the evenings with Vini and Klaas, to talk about interesting topics by a glass of wine. We did the diving at the coolidge, while we stayed at their accommodation and they drove us every time and picked us up. We also went snorkelling, right in front of the bungallow and the reef is pretty decent (we even saw morey eels and lion fish). It grows back slowly after the cyclone."
