"It's my third time visiting Gorée Island, and this time i choose to spend a night there. The island has a particular beauty and colors. The locals, has most part of the senegalese people are warm. The Maison Augustin is in the core of the island. The room is confortable and cozy. Was ready to receive me and very clean. The bathroom even though is shared was clean. The staff is friendly and prepares you a very good breakfast. I will return."

"Location was perfect and the staff were so friendly! Great price and honestly a highlight of our trip. The hotel owners also own 2 restaurants on the island, we went to the one across from the ferry Chex Thio, and honestly some of the best food we’ve had on this trip! The breakfast was also super good, bread, jam, coffee, fried egg, crepe and hibiscus juice. Couldn’t of asked for a better stay"

"The place is like a Art gallery!! we love the African details of the decoration. The room with air conditioning and glass windows. The attention of the girls is amazing!! really, really nice people. The breakfast is included and was so good. Oumar has a gorgeous place in the Island of Goree. Must visit!!"

"It's a beautiful island. Stuff very nice. Hotel very clean. If you are going to Dakar, don't. Go to Gorée Island. It's the oasis of peace. You will not relax in Dakar. We were so glad, we stayed with Maison Augustin. Thanks guys. O. One more thing. If you decide to stay there, you have to try some fish from the owners restaurant. THEY CAN DO FISH. Honestly. The best fish in my life. Beautiful."
