Set on a hillside above Lake Siljan, this family-run guest house is 1 km from central Rättvik. Housed in a refurbished 1868 building, it features a large terrace with lake views and individually decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV. The rooms of Bruntegården have wooden floors and a mix of modern and traditional décor. Some rooms offer views of the lake. The on-site restaurant serves locally sourced, seasonal à la carte dishes. A lunch buffet with soup, salad and freshly baked sourdough bread is served from Monday until Friday. Refreshments, newspapers and free WiFi are available in the lobby bar. Bruntegården is within a 5-minute walk of Rättvik’s ski slopes and the Tolvåsspåret cross-country skiing tracks. In addition, plenty of hiking trails are found nearby.

"We came for the food and were not disappointed – one of the best meals we've had! (Bruntegården has been featured in the White Guide.) The staff was excellent and went out of their way to make our stay the best they could. Adorable house with an amazing view."

"Lovely breakfast with homemade bread, delicius. Beautiful houses and seaside view. Very friendly staff. The room was simple but comfortable with an extra heater in it."
"Die Lage des Hauses ist besonders vorteilhaft: nah an Ystad (10 Min. ins Zentrum) und an der Küste (4 Min.), dabei kaum Bebauung in der Nachbarschaft, extrem ruhige Umgebung und trotz Durchgangsstraße kaum merklicher Verkehr. Das Haus selbst ist sehr geräumig und bietet einer Familie mit Kindern genügend Raum. Besonders schön ist die abgeschirmte Südterrasse mit einem weiträumigen Blick über Felder und Wald mit Hasen und Rehen. TV mit nationalen Kanälen und BBC News war ausreichend, um im Urlaub etwas informiert zu bleiben, außerdem lief das Internet stabil."
