"I have stayed here before and loved it so much I just had to book again. My father was visiting from Europe, and it was the perfect place for us - small, cosy, quaint and quiet. We spent lovely evenings playing cards on the outside table around the lovely plants in the garden. He said he had the best sleep he has had in years thanks to the wonderfully comfortable beds, and as a creature of habit, he appreciated the kettle and the hot shower."

"Such a lovely, quaint little cottage. We couldn't have been luckier than to have found this place. We only stayed for one night but we wish it could have been for longer. The beds were so comfortable, the outside area such a nice spot to chill out. The area itself is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Really homely. Two bedrooms with really comfortable beds and the nicest smelling sheets ever. There was water provided - a big full one which was perfect for the scorching day we had spent in the sun. The host was extremely rapid at replying, and we felt very very looked after. 10/10, will definitely be coming again next time I am in the area"

"We loved our stay here. The location was utterly perfect ! The perfect distance from town, so we were able to walk in and enjoy the sights of El Nido, but were also able to come home and have our quiet time next to the beach, cook our own dinners, relax in our own space etc. The shower was hot, the wifi very good, everything clean. The bedrooms were so cosy, it would be the perfect place for a little retreat with your friends or a pair of couples. So cosy, so lovely. The bed was soooo comfortable, and the aircon not too aggressive - it cooled the room quickly and gently. Big win on that one. Cannot recommend more. Shops just on the corner, and the most beautiful part of the beach right there, with a spot good for swimming very near by. Loved it here, would 100% come again."

"The place is so lovely, its a couple mins walk to the beach, about 10 minutes walk to town and the walk along the beach is so beautiful. The place is clean and well maintained and the caretakers are very responsive. I would reccommend this place to anyone"

"The location is unbeatable. Quiet but close to the beach and busy town. We really appreciated the strong internet for working online. The staff were also fantastic at helping us organising bikes and tours :)"

"We had to check in later due to the cleaning ladies being late from another house cleaning. It’s a cozy apartment, but there should be a shared living room. The doors and windows have some gaps in them, allowing bugs and insects to step in. However, we filled these gaps with some paper, and bought some bug spray, so overall we didn’t have much of a problem with bugs. It’s a quiet area, compared to El Nido town, so it was nice to stay here. Also got another blanket from the host, as the one provided was a bit small for two persons."

"Good location, outside of the busy center but close to the beach and other facilities. Hosts were very responsive when we had some issues and solved it quickly."

"Smell in the bathroom, there was not really a living room, it was quite dark inside as it was fully built in between other houses. Also there was construction work right next door which was loud and started very early. Not something the hosts can do about, but it would be nice to be aware of this upfront. Lastly, when you had showered the whole bathroom was wet including the toilet and it also meant you couldn’t hang your towel in the bathroom so you had to dry off yourself in the kitchen. That was very inconvenient when you are with multiple people and one bathroom."

Despite its compact size, the cottage comfortably accommodates up to four people with its two well-appointed bedrooms. The location is truly a highlight—just a few meters from the beach, offering stunning views and easy access to the shoreline. Additionally, shops and local conveniences are within walking distance, making it a practical and picturesque choice for a relaxing getaway."

"One minor aspect of Caalan Cottage that I didn't particularly like is that opening the kitchen door leads directly to the neighboring property. While this might feel a bit unusual, it’s not a major issue since the door has a secure lock, ensuring privacy and safety. Overall, it’s a small detail in an otherwise delightful stay."

"This place is relatively new and very well-kitted out. The hosts were SUPER helpful and accommodating and very responsive whenever I needed to ask anything. The shower was fantastic. The location was pretty decent. Shops, a tour company, and a motorbike rental shop are all very nearby. It's on the quieter side of El Nido which was great. You can walk to all the trendy places in El Nido town. Definitely try Gusto out in town! UNREAL breakfasts. The cottage WiFi was pretty fast and reliable, too. It's a rare find."

"Not much. It was great. Not many places have it, but perhaps backup power for the (short-lived) El Nido power cuts. Perhaps an outside tap to clean my feet when entering the unit so I don't have to dirty the lovely mat on the floor."
