"We loved the location, only about 15 minutes by mototaxi to central Mancora. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and the room we stayed in was clean and spacious, with a large bathroom and a comfortable bed. The view from our room was spectacular, looking at the ocean and sunset through the coconut trees. Good quality Peruvian and Italian food in the outdoor restaurant, overlooking the ocean. I found the hotel to be good value for money and the service warm and welcoming."

"While we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back, my small criticisms are that the bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a wall mounted dispenser in the shower) were of really poor quality. I left mine at home as we were traveling with carry on luggage only, and assumed that being a boutique hotel, it would have at least half decent products. The body wash was bright pink, like the industrial type you get in service station bathrooms and the conditioner smelt like disinfectant. It would also have been really nice to have access to drinking water without having to buy it, like a water dispenser in the main area to fill up our bottles or a couple of complimentary bottles in the room each day, as the local tap water is not safe to drink."

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Sunset, and it will always remain as our first choice of accommodation whenever we visit Mancora. The stretch of beach it is located on is pristine and quiet and it is 10 mins max off the main road, so it is easy enough to get into Mancora centre by tuktuk or taxi. The staff are always so incredibly friendly and try to ensure you feel comfortable and and home during your stay."

They gave us some recommendations for places to go and they called us a taxi when we needed. Very caring!! We will definitely go back in our next visit to Mancora."

"slight distance from town which could be good or bad. One hand, it's quit and peaceful. The walk along the beach is pleasant only interrupted to get around the beer. 10 soles for tuk tuk back at night."

"The location is excellent - beachfront - and our room just great - facing a loud ocean, with fine sea breezes. It is a beautiful, clean sandy beach, which is very nice to walk on, but there are many rocks and the power sea, with its strong undercurrent makes for a very difficult, if not dangerous, place to swim."

"Stunning beachfront pool area with amazing sunsets every night. The bedrooms are stylish, spacious and comfortable. There is lots of very cool artwork throughout the property and the overall aesthetic is beautiful. We arrived late at night and Pedro offered to have pizza ready for our arrival which was very kind! The staff were all very attentive."

"Unfortunately the food was average and a little overpriced which was disappointing. Having filtered water available to guests would be a huge plus! Although lovely the bedrooms are quite dark and the WiFi didn’t work in the bedroom - however it was actually quite nice to have a break from technology!"
