"Barbara was a wonderful hostess. The place it very charming with a relaxed atmosphere. Big clean nicely decorated room with a comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast! Quiet location with a couple of small grocery stores nearby. Amazing value for money."
"8 km from downtown Arequipa. It's a 15 soles taxi ride or 1 1/2 hours walk (the route is walkable with sidewalks and street lights the whole way). There are also shops and a few restaurants 2 km to the south at the nearest village."

The accommodation was wonderful and clean with a very comfy bed and an excellent shower and the property is located in a lovely setting close to some beautiful walks, whilst still being not too far from the city centre. The breakfast was outstanding and the packed lunch was very affordable and very filling."

"Primeiramente a anfitriã Barbara foi extremamente simpática conosco. Nos ajudou em tudo, passeios, compras, pontos turísticos, culinária, além de diversas questões de ordem pessoal. Uma simpatia em pessoa! A instalação é limpa, cobertores suficientes para o frio da noite e ainda ganhamos água de brinde. O café da manhã é bem gostoso, pão recém feito, ovos cozidos, e diversas outras coisas. Nada a desejar! Para completar os pets Gringo e Negra são muito divertidos. Passamos muito bem!"

"Este alojamiento es un Oasis de paz y tranquilidad para el viajero, está ubicado realmente entre los campos verdes pero a la vez dispone de parada de bus y de taxis en cualquier momento para moverte a otros pueblitos o ciudades. En la misma calle hay tienditas y lugares para comer. Y un mercado a diario a menos de 5 minutos. Bárbara, su amfitriona, es muy atenta y acogedora. Las habitaciones son muy bonintas, limpias y acojedoras con todo tipo de detalles que necesita un viajero. Los desayunos con productos locales y huevos de sus gallinas son reconfortantes. Este hospedaje tiene un jardincito y una sala acristalada común donde uno puede leer, tomarse un te... a parte de la opción de cocina compartida. "Barbara is a great host who went out of her way to help us out: getting transportation, early coffee, and tissues! She also speaks German, English, and French in addition to Spanish. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the breakfast filling, and the fresh juices were the best. We would stay there again."
"It's outside of downtown, but it was easy enough to get taxis or rideshare service to Arequipa center for 18 to 20 soles (we were in town at the time of a big conference, so prices were a bit higher)."

"This is an amazing vacation home that is much larger than it appears in the pictures, and much closer to the beach. From the back sliding doors, you are a few steps from the pool, then a grassy area and fire pit, and then the beach. The primary suite is huge, with a very comfortable king-size bed, and very private (entrance if from the pool area via a sliding glass wall). There is also a second en-suite with a king-size bed in the main house, as well as two more bedrooms and bathrooms. All the spaces are large and comfortable (we had 10 people and would have still been comfortable with a few more). The beach at Vichayito has soft, fine sand and during our stay the water was very moderate."
