"A very nice hotel in a beautiful location with stunning views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had one meal at the restaurant, which was quite good. The place has a great atmosphere overall, and the pub is perfect for relaxing in the evening."

"The breakfast was rather poor for a hotel of this category. Also, the lights on the pier stay on all night, which spoils the view from the rooms facing the mountains and makes it almost impossible to see the Northern Lights when they appear. The lights reflect on the windows and block the view completely. Finally, the hotel is very far from anything — cafés, restaurants, or any kind of “civilization.” There’s just a small mini market and a gas station nearby; anything else is over a 30-minute drive away."

"The view to the fjord and to the mountains was amazing (seafront cottage). The beds and the linen were very comfy and clean. Hotel breakfast, facilites and services were perfect."

"The cottage was poorly cleaned. More thorough cleaning would be necessary. Furniture was dirty e.g. sofas and the chairs of the dining table. One of the seating pillows of the sofa was broken. Recliner chairs on the terrace were broken, the mechanism didn't work. The sunshade (awning) at the terrace was also broken and it could not be used. Kitchenware was a bit deficient and "miscellaneous". The frying pans were extremely worn out and poor. Diswasher worked but the lower plate rack was missing half of its wheels. Neighbours (regular summer residents etc.?) were using the "backyard" of the cottage for walktrough to the pier which disturbed the privacy. The same neighbours also used the garden area between the cottages as their own."

"Remote & tranquil location. Activities & staff were excellent & very interesting. Staff were exceptional as they are excited to be in that location & keen to share their knowledge & pleasant to be with. The lakeside sauna & jacuzzi & icy Arctic swim."

"The privately owned lakeside property was dated & cramped with only one tiny bathroom for five people & was located downstairs. Although we booked for five adults this tiny cabin comprised two bunk bedrooms & only one double bedroom. By comparison, the modern & spacious ‘premium’ hotel owned cabin where we spent our first night had three double bedrooms with bathroom upstairs & WC downstairs. We much preferred this cabin but it was unavailable for the duration of our stay. There is clearly a variety of standards of accommodation on offer & not all equal."

"When the weather isn’t great there’s not a huge amount to do and it’s a long drive back into Tromso. If you’re happy reading etc inside then it’s very comfortable"
