Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.

"Staff went above and beyond to make our stay for my birthday a wonderful experience. Hotel was in the perfect location for ease of access to the train station and the town itself. Amenities were clean and room was spacious."

Overall the decor and energy of the hotel felt a bit dated but not a massive complaint that would stop me from booking again in the future as there was more positives to outweigh the aesthetic.

"The people were so friendly and helpful. They gave us a free lift into town and back and answered all of our questions. The setting is beautiful next to the water with a lovely log cabin. I'd definitely stay again, especially in summer as it's a great alternative to Ciudad del Este."

He also helped me with all my activities and recommended great places for me to eat at or visit. The place was great with all that I needed, fully equipped kitchen, delicious breakfast etc.I will add my ink and voice to the rest of the travellers to say this hideout is highly recommended. "The room was comfortable, there was a microwave, electric heating and a kettle so we could make our own food. We needed batteries for the air condition (it was cold), they delivered very fast. Thanks!"

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

The cottage is really small and stuffy esp when it’s hot. window without mosquito net, thus we cannot leave it open in the nite, too much mosquitos and horse fly.

"The room was beautiful opening up to a sea view. Could go kayaking from just outside the room. The lodge had kayaks and life jackets available to guests. Could also go fishing or swimming - just idyllic! The staff were also really helpful. I would most definitely stay here again."
