"Very welcoming and friendly family! They helped us with all our needs and arranged tuktuks for transport. Amazing view from the room, super peaceful, just what you need to escape the busy Ella vibes...the food was delicious as well! Lots of beautiful hikes around, we extended one more night and would probably keep on extending it if we didn't have other plans... We will definitely come back again!"

"We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed a lot. If you really want to become a part of a Srilankan family for a while, then this is a place for you! Please don't expect anything luxurious, but the price is fair for what you get. Spectacular views, authentic vibes, nice welcoming people, eating together at a big table with other guests, playing carrom and cards in the evenings 😉. This all far away from crowds in Ella 👍 We miss it already! ♥️ PS: Don't forget to drink some tea at the Frankie's hut up by the road, it Is delicious!"

"Amazing place, amazing view, lovely family, great experience in the mountains although we had lots of rain (but that'slife!!) We had great time at White Monkey Dias during our 3 days there, mostly thank to their warm welcome! The kids loved it and met many interesting people and kids there, local as well as travelers. Definitely one of our favourite places during our trip! Thanks for all!"

"Nothing! Ok, maybe a bit wet because of the weather (we lived real condition stormy weather up there during one day!) but it doesn't count!! Everything perfect!! Just warning people who love 5 star hotels : this is not the goal up there! But if you like hiking, nature beautiful landscapes and lovely guesthouses in a real sri lankan mountain village: do not hesitate, just go!"

"Amazing stay and made even better by the welcoming family. Nothing was too much for them- they cooked an amazing dinner and breakfast and helped arrange trips up Lipton’s seat and other trips (they even delivered our bags to us at the station after we’d been on a hike!) We even got upgraded to the cottage where the views were amazing! Would definitely recommend"

"We loved the view 😍 especially from the bungalow. Newly renovated. We enjoyed the everyone dining all together evening meal and loved the cookery experience. Breakfast was good. We were visited by a monkey on our balcony. Fantastic experience all round 👏 We'll definately go back and would recommend it. The family and very warm and super welcoming"

"Very warm and welcoming host family. The location is great with beautiful tea plantations and a Mini World‘s End viewpoint a hike away. The food was excellent and the host was also really helpful with activities to do around the Haputale area and how to organise our next day."
