Montagne Regency

"We actually stayed at the Montagne Guest House, it's entrance being on the main road into Kampot. but our room was located more to the rear of the property; no traffic noise. Breakfast is taken in the main part of the hotel complex ( Montagne Residence ) a two minute walk from the guest house. The morning breakfast is served from 7.00am to 10.00 and was excellent ; a choice of either Asian or American. The two swimming pools are also located in this section of the complex. No problems."

"When you approach the Montagne Guest House from the front (on the main road) you could get the impression of a run down joint. The facade needs a face-lift, but don't be misled by the appearance. Once inside you will be pleasantly surprised. The guy on reception (Sunday pm) on our arrival was like getting blood from a stone, I needed to keep prompting him for information. He told us breakfast is served 7.00am to 12.00 noon. Really !!! Luckily, on our first morning, we got into the restaurant just before 10.00am. and obviously claimed our brecky. Fifteen minutes later could have been a different story."

"Nice room with comfortable bed and balcony. The pool area was really nice and great to cool off after a hot day. Breakfast which was included was quite good with lots of options."

"Staff were very friendly but we struggled to communicate. We wanted to book a tour and also bus transportation to next city but ended up doing it outside hotel as staff couldn't understand our request."

"the water drainage in the bathroom on room wasn’t very good which left it a bit wet most of the time but we found it not too much of a problem"

"Room was spacious. Balcony area was nice and the bed was comfy enough. Aircon worked well. Access to the pool was amazing - the other hotel is quite a fancy one so their pool and facilities are beautiful. We ate at the restaurant once too - was nice enough 😊."

"Walls are thin, so can be noisy but didn't really affect our sleep. Not many places to put your clothes - the wardrobe just has a rail. Location is a bit far out with not much around, but we knew that before booking."
