"The double beds in the dorms are massive and private, shower was hot and the pool of large and refreshing in the heat."

"The air-conditioning is turned off between 1pm-7pm and is not super strong but definitely good enough. You just might eant to keep your curtains open to ensure the cool air gets into your cubicle. The curtains for the bed feel down twice for me but the cleaning lady helped me reattach them. The bathroom light was a little low light but otherwise everything was great"

"I arrived at the last summer hostel at exactly the 3 month mark since I left home to begin my travels. I had been travelling for 3 days to get to Siem Reap and I was exhausted and beginning to feel the weight of solo travel, missing familiarity and community. I dont know what cosmic force has me book this hostel but I found a small slice of home here. The owner Joe and all the staff were so welcoming, I watched as joe took time to get to know his guests and make them all feel at home. The beds were the most comfortable I have experienced in 3 months. The location was perfect- walking distance from the hustle and bustle but also tucked away on a side street protected from any noise- and only a 20min drive to the temples. The pool was phenomenal- always clean and the perfect sun trap for sun bathing with loungers and shaded areas for breaks from the sun if needed. I will definitely be returning to the last summer hostel it feels like it's found a home there."

"The staff was amazing, the owner went above and beyond for my comfort, let me check out late and helped with the luggage. We had great conversations with the other guys as well over beer. The pool is clean and massive, the vibes are chilled and laid back, I will defo return. :)"

"Great location & s beautiful building ! Also a fantastic pool to keep you cool, great bar & plenty of sitting areas - also a short walk to all the main parts of town, restaurants, markets, pub street, parks etc. The female dorm had a/c & 2 showers which is an added bonus & avoided any queues, & it was also dark & quiet at night & no problem with getting a peaceful nights sleep. I highly recommend this place to other travellers 👍 😀😀"

"Lovely hostel with a nice vibe. Everyone who works here is very friendly. The pool is fantastic. The female dorm made me feel safe, it’s comfortable, has lockers and the beds are nice. Was very comfortable during my stay. Price for a dorm bed is insanely low. After leaving the hostel I changed to another one just to try something else, but honestly Last Summer is much, much nicer than most other hostels. Also as someone who doesn’t drink, the place still felt very comfortable and there are no crazy parties at night."

"As you pay very little; you can’t really expect perfection, there were a few issues, which weren’t very problematic but good to know what you can expect - while the reception and cleaning staff are locals, the owners and many workers are not, it’s essentially mostly run by foreigners so you don’t exactly help the local economy by staying here. - the room had a toilet but lights didn’t work - one of the shower cubicles only could be used during daylight - sometimes the showers would just smell like the sewer - the toilet in the room isn’t really for.. big business. It tends to get blocked - you can book a private tour with the reception, but not group tours unfortunately"
