"The place is just a pure beauty. It is hard to find more beautiful pool or garden. Also pool bar is amazing, what can be better than zipping your coctail or moctail in warm water in such a beautiful setting. The resort is pretty big and the service a bit formal. The food and the service at the bar close to seaside is very good."

"The buffet dinner ambience was very touristic and the food mediocre. Room needed a little make up. Also, you can’t find a simple things like a wine opener or wine glasses in your room"

"I was missold a room type (suite with a sea view) that apparently doesn't exist and in respect of which I paid a higher price. The reservation office did not respond to my repeated emails or calls. The reception staff were dismissive and unresponsive ."

"The Swahili Resort totally surpassed my expectations. It was shear bliss staying here and I can't wait to go back. The staff go out of their way to make everything perfect all the time. It is a very romantic place which is perfect for couples. Their pool area is jaw dropping, there are ten separate infinity type beautiful pools on a tiered system with water running from one to the next. The food here was amazing, a great buffet, or Japanese or Indian Restaurant to choose from. And our room was simply incredible. Every single thing here was perfect and easily the best hotel I've ever stayed at."

"It's not the hotel's fault but the moment you step on the beach from this resort, you'll be hounded by beach boys desperately trying to take money from you, they are persistent and won't leave you alone. There are camel rides on the beach which we did but the poor camels are very badly beaten and scarred by their owners which is really sad."

"Its my 4th visit to this resort over the past 8 years. The neglect is visible. Veranda of the room I stayed in is crumbling away, the floors that used to be white is now stained brown, window latches broken, taps at basins corroded, window blinds broken ( I had to fix the two blinds in the room I stayed in just to get it closed) , the shower is halfway blocked and split open on one side for water to just gush out. The outside areas are maintained but not the rooms to the same standard. My room couldnt lock from inside as the lock mechanism was jammed."

"Quiet place with beautiful rooms, lots of pools, clean, and very good food, that last one was one of the best we ever experienced in a resort. We came just before high season, what was probably the cause that is wasn't very busy. I dont thing we've seen more then 100 guests but that might be the seasonal timing."

"Not a lot of entertainment. The entertainment scedule in their special app was not followed. For bigger activities like water sports they work with external companies and you have to travel to different locations/resorts in the area to join those. The beach is okay but not the best. At low tide you can't swim in the sea here."

"Excellent breakfast and great restaurants on the property. My room was super clean and very beautiful, very comfortable with a bit of a sea view. The beach was cleaned every day, good beach access. The beach facilities a bit limited for the size of the hotel."

"It was noisy for the big part of my stay. During the day construction workers worked on renovation of the next door villa and it created noise and dust. In the evening there was a wedding on the property and the music was playing late into the night on Saturday."

"The resort was extremely beautiful. One of the best I've been to on the African continent. The architecture and design were such a sight to behold. You can tell that some real care and thought was put into designing the place. From the pools to the rooms, everything was tasteful. Food was made fresh and was satisfactory. There wasn't an option that we didn't like."

"The breakfast was mediocre. The staff needs to be trained in terms of customer interaction, either they are shy or rude. Sometimes they disappear when you request them to bring something, eg: baby chair. I had to search and find it myself."
