Stapavegur 7, 190 Vogar, Islandija
Located in the quaint peaceful village of Vogar on the Reykjanes Peninsula, the Hotel Vogar offers spectacular views of Mt. Keilir; a cone shaped volcano 379 metres high. The small town of Vogar is in the south west region of Iceland and is conveniently located just a 14 minute drive from Keflavík International Airport. Double insulated walls and specially fitted curtains that reduce the admission of light ensure a good night’s sleep; even during the very bright summer nights. The amazing Blue Lagoon is just a 12 minute drive away and Hotel Vogar is just 25 minutes from Reykjavík. The area provides numerous paths that wind around the coast and pass through lava fields. Vogar is well known for its rich and abundant bird life. Hotel Vogar is only a 4 minute walk from an inviting heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Top quality American Simmons beds are included in most rooms which is not common in most Icelandic hotels.

"Really outdated The sink in the bathroom is so small you can't even fill in the kettle. And the bathroom is really small One of the bed was really too soft, really hard to sleep in it There are no spare sockets to plug your phone Breakfast at 20 USD!!!"
"Seriously one of the best places I have ever stayed at. There is something magical and home-like about this hotel. I will stay nowhere else unless they are booked out. The staff are simply amazing and genuine."

"The staff was friendly and the room was very spacious. It was very well equipped, with closets, desk and chairs. The style was classic and we loved it! It is just 15 min driving to the airport so it was a great choice for us for our last day in Iceland."

"Receptionist was extremely nice, polite and helpfull. A wonderful, varied breakfast was included in the price, and there's also an outdoor jacuzzi on site. The hotel offers views of the Northern Lights, and a supermarket and gas station are nearby."

"The hotel is pretty accesible and there are a few supermarkets and restaurants. Everyone was very nice and they helped us with anything we needed. The room was quite big, super clean and the views to the mountain are amazing."

"Throughout our trip to Iceland, we saw different hotels that we assumed were part of the same Fosshotel chain, and they always seemed very modern, but the Fosshotel Stykkishólmur wasn't so modern; it might be considered even a little dated. The room was okay, but the bathroom really needs some update. It even had a certain smell. We were traveling with a friend and requested a three beds room. The third bed was kind of small (we don't think a man could have slept there), and it wasn't very comfortable either. You're paying for a room for three people. It wasn't something we asked at last minute. We had dinner there, and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet was the best and with most variety of all the ones we had at the different hotels. The staff both at reception, bar and restaurant was very friendly and helpful, although in general, we were expecting more for our money."
