"Central location, near main restaurants, port and attractions; few shops for tourists nearby too. Toilets on each floor, they were always clean. Nice staff. It was overall quiet as it was off season"

"Bathrooms are located underground only and it’s basically the same space for men and women. No staff present at night, which can be an issue as during first night unfortunately, a bunch of kids thought they were owning the place and partied most of the night, they were speaking out loud, screaming and all between their rooms and hallway they just didn’t care about the others. No one to complain to sadly."

"Great, clean simple rooms, very spacious. Very clean toilets. The bar downstairs is THE place to be in Akuyeri, don't hesitate to stay here. Food is excellent, great people, very friendly"

"We liked the hostel although it was not in our plans. We were stuck in Akureyri due to weather conditions and wrong tires in the rental car and stayed for one night there. Luckily, one of the staff , Ewa from Poland was there and everything was sorted out! She is not just kind but caring and genuinely helpful. The sightseeing of Akureyri is Ewa!"

"Beware where you park. Tickets are expensive and not always clear where it is allowed or not."

"Central. Pleasant, popular bar for drinks and food within building. Room standard was higher than expected for a backpackers. We had a large, well decorated room with easy access to spotless communal showers."

"The venue coupled with the Bar/Restaurant was great. On site laundry is another big plus."

"Location was great. The wooden floor and stairs gave this cosy feeling. The food in the downstairs bar was delicious. Friendly staff."

"The floor in my room was not clean and the towel smelled like chemicals. I was on the top floor so I had to walk 4 floors (and a half) to the basement to the showers. It is not good for old people because there are no elevators."

"Food served downstairs is excellent, nice pub atmosphere. In town centre- we walked to the whale watching. A short trip to the forest lagoon"

"We absolutely loved the location of course! The bar/restaurant downstairs is a really cool spot, and the staff was very friendly. If you just need a clean, affordable place to stay in the downtown area, this is a perfect choice. :) We have nothing bad to say - everything was clean and well-maintained."
