"Hotel Thushara is a small well managed hotel with pool. It is around 4 minutes from the beach and restaurants. There were always staff around so it felt safe and secure. The best rooms overlook the pool but in high season (Jan/Feb) they are generally prebooked by returnees. Our ground floor garden room was a good size with plenty of storage, a good shower, fan and a/c, fridge, kettle, TV. Only a couple of power sockets available as 4 were used for the fridge, tv etc. From experience we travel with a 4 socket extension lead. They provide pool towels. A drying rack would be useful but we managed without one. To access the hotel, as suggested elsewhere, when you arrive at the beach parking area near the Marine Palace, phone the hotel and they will come and meet you with a wheelbarrow for your luggage and take you there."

"The location is just a minute walk to the beach. The staff were excellent and accommodating. This was my second time staying there. Sadly it was a short stay but I will be back."
