"The shuttle bus from the airport was on site when we arrived and very comfortable after the plane ride. Check in was quick and the staff was amazing. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable."

"Beautiful small resort, felt like a private home. The manager and staff were excellent. Food cooked at the resort was exquisite. Service provided was of high quality. Great help with booking boat excursions."

Lovely property but needs a little refurbishing. More for the Island’s government to consider: The Island could have better (and cleaner) walking paths between all the resorts, beaches and the Village.

"The room and around fit to the explanation and pictures. Breakfast was basic and tasty. We came in October when season is over. The owner cook a dinner for us. It was quite expensive (30 euro par person taking a fish, 15 - with no fish), but tasty. Wine was exceptional. It was better then drive in the dark to the restaurant and back (the road is not easy even during the daylight). Adrian made the welcome. Very nice guy with good English. The owner, Vasko (sorry if a spell the name wrongly) is very nice guy. Able to speak Russian. Show us the winery. The wine is exceptional. Very quite place. The views are stunning."

The only one thing was not OK - in one of the rooms (we took 2) water in the shower drains poorly - floor was full of water.

"The staff are wonderful and very consistent of disability. The restaurant is excellent with a large menu and reasonable prices. The Indian food is especially good. The surroundings are stunning. There is a farmers market there one Saturday a month"

The WiFi does not work!

Pusryčiai norėtųsi kad būtų ilgiau. Kai buvome tai buvo nuo 7h iki 10h.

"We stayed in a club room which gave us access to the Club Lounge. The lounge was excellent great food all day and the staff were exceptional. When you consider we were trapped in the Hotel because of the war we could not have been in a better place. Everyone was caring and so helpful. Wonderful Hotel made so by the staff"

Probably just the traffic and noises makes by vendor as the hotel is opposite the national library. Hence many youngsters hangout there everyday and worst is over the weekend.

Couldn't stay longer

"Very friendly , easy going hotel with good staff and friendly guests! Wonderful large room with access to sun loungers and the small beach and views over the water( Beach front king).Other places accessible by taxi, if rather expensive!"

Main dining area felt rather utiltarian. Food was fine , service friendly. The bingo/ karaoke evening was good fun

"The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and spacey. The bed is very comfortable and the internet is fast. The staff is very friendly and also gives tips for sightseeing tours. Breakfast is also available around noon. The quality-price relation is very good for this hotel. "During our stay, my wife fell ill. Diagnosed with severe malaria, she was transferred from the over-worked Moroni public hospital to a private clinic (at the hotel’s initiative). Over the next week, the Retaj’s staff treated us both as family and could not have been more helpful."

The pool was often closed to guests
