We had a couple dead cockroaches in the place that wasn't our favorite. We also had a line of fire ants on the wall in the master bedroom. There were also a lot of cockroaches outside of the apartment and one ended up getting into our vehicle which the kids didn't like

"Fantastic, amazing,clean beautiful cosy place. Very friendly and felpful owner, he brought us butter, as I forgot and also tea. He helped me about what to see in the area. "There was much to like about our stay - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The location - a short drive from the main Belle Mare beach and not too far from the main regional hub of Flacq (with its twice weekly market and also Super-U for those who prefer more modern facilities) - was good and the walk from the accommodation to the dining area through an abundance of local floral was a delight. But biggest praise must go to owners Roshan and Sang (and their son Kite) who were so warm and welcoming - they made each guest feel like a VIP, nothing was too much trouble for them and the food (breakfast and dinner) freshly prepared by Sang each day was varied but always delicious. We had a wonderful stay with no complaints whatsoever. Well, actually, just one - we never did get to see Roshan feeding the Dodo."

"Everything was excellent! Perfect location, walking distance to the center. Incredible restaurant next door with very friendly prices and outstanding food. Jorge is the best host I have ever had. He is very friendly and very human person. We had our car broken and he had helped us to push the car to car service and let us to store our staff in his house off the charge. Rooms are very clean, good kitchen, incredible veranda with cool view and BBQ station, hot water, fast Wi-Fi. Totally recommend"

1 socket per room is very little. No heaters in the room so in the night (we were in August) is a little chill but blankets are warm

And the location was also on very good spot, kind of centre location to visit the important places in beirut. The highlight were the staff and their behavior. "Mohammad and Heba are great hosts! Communication in English is easy, and Heba provides most delicious traditional palestinian and jordanian food at dinner. Being on a hike without car, I strongly depended on their perfect organiziation of transfers. Sections of the Jordan Trail, and the holy mountain Tell Mar Elias are nearby and beautifully covered by flowers in spring. The guesthouse is conveniently located between the Ajloun Forest Reserve which is in hiking distance, and the old city of Ajloun with its magnificent castle. I had initially intended a short visit here, and finally stayed almost a week."

"The place is a pure perfection, one of the rare occassions where photos don't do the hotel justice. The cabanas are few and set in a beautiful green garden. Our cabana was beautifully decorated, there's a small kitchen with all necessary amnities, a bathroom with hot water, comfy bes and a terrace to relax on while waiting for a rain shower to pass ;) If you're a type of traveler who prefers tranquility, I urge you to stay on Carenero, while visiting Bocas del Toro. It's a short (1min, 1$) drive with a water taxi from Bocas Town and one will come to pick you up as soon as you set your foot on pier. The hotel is only 3min walk from the nearest pier."

It was perfect, by far the nicest place I've ever stayed in during my travels. Has a kind of a honeymoon vibe to it. I wish Booking offered a higher grade for places which exceed all others. 11/10 :)

"Very good location, close to the city beach , 5 min on foot. There is a pool on property which is very practical when it is hot during the day and you do not feel like walking to the beach. An outdoor kitchen is available, there is a gas stove, BBQ place etc, very useful for people wanting to cook. The apartment is clean, spacious and right for our group. The hosts are extremely nice people, ready to help when needed. I would definitely recommend this place to travellers! Thank you Safar guest house!"
