"Beautiful building and grounds, helpful and welcoming staff, lovely pub very close by."
"The stairs were a bit challenging for my dodgy knees, which I hadn't considered were that bad previously."
"I really liked everything. The staff were very friendly and excellent. The breakfast was very good and fresh."
"Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was great, but the room was a bit cold"
"We had a wonderful room, with views to the sea and the garden, and a huge amount of space. It was comfortable and everything worked well. The breakfasts were very good. It is quite close to the sea and the coast path, and not far into town and the harbour."
"Information might have been a little better. Finding the property - one needs to drive to the bottom of New Barnstaple Road and just before the traffic lights turn right, signposted Laston House, into a long approach track. Google-maps leaves you stranded on the road. Also, the room did not have any information, e.g. wifi code (this was on the wall downstairs) or places to visit."
"Good location, the guy we saw was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and well furnished. Great breakfast"
"Nothing"
"Perfect location for us. Car parked in front of house off road Well cooked breakfast with locally resourced items, 5 mins to swimming hub, Restaurants nearby, Room beautiful, lovely old furniture and very large bed."

"Friendly and helpful owners. Good breakfast. We liked the beautiful old house with its large and well lit rooms. Very comfortable big bed. Private parking at the house is always a bonus."
"There are never enough hooks in the bathroom wherever you stay."
"The host was very good and friendly. Bed was so comfy. The breakfast was tasty and good."
"The tea tray wasn’t great, not a great choice of teas. Maybe a fridge in the hall for fresh milk or for guests to use?"
"Lovely house, beautiful room, breakfast fine and an excellent location. Pub restaurant 2 minute walk."
"Everything was satisfactory. 'Better' depends on individual whims."
