"Breakfast was Continental (our choice )and was excellent-location outside was a bit tricky to find (-geography unknown)-evening aperitif offered and delicious-garden was great including the birds+cat+dog+sheep+ancient gingko tree with fruit!"

"Absolutely charming and very quiet. Loved the garden, pool and outdoors kitchen where we sat every evening overlooking the pool (even in the rain!) and had our excellent breakfast. Francoise was so very friendly and helpful and his wife's homemade jams and yoghurts were wonderful as were all the other breakfast items. Bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. Easy access to Isle de Re and La Rochelle and also golf (although we didn't play as planned because it rained."

"The facilities were beyond our expectations. The room was well appointed and next to the beautiful pool. The spa was really great too. The garden was peaceful & next to a tea pretty river. The breakfast was served by the pool and truly exceptional, served by an attentive & charming host. We are already looking for excuses to return!"

"We have stayed at l'Instant Bleu before. Francois is an excellent host and goes above and beyond in hospitality. Breakfasts are superb, especially sitting by the pool in the sunshine. We love the location and the quiet surroundings. And it is so useful to have the separate covered area with fridge and cooking facilities. We will be returning."

"The only niggle is that the breakfast coffee gets cold very quickly. Perhaps it could be served in an insulated jug?"

"The thoughtful and caring attitude of François, the owner. He offered us bikes with maps, made us a beautiful breakfast each morning, an apéritif in the evening, a Cruise down the canal in the evening and à free massage. Such treatment! The room was very comfortable and clean with all conveniences, set in a lovely garden with swimming pool."

"Fantastic place in the Marais Poitevin and close to La Rochelle . From the minute we arrive to departure we were helped by the host. The room was super clean. Breakfast was great. There is a swimming pool and loungers under the shade to relax on a sunny day. Probably the best place I have been too in many years. Bedding was perfect, very quiet, we had a good night sleep. Good restaurants in the village, 5 minutes walk away, along the river. We only stayed 2 nights this time but will surely come back for at least a week."

"What a lovely welcoming bed and breakfast. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and all guest had access to a lovely garden and swimming pool. There is a large summer kitchen available for guest to use and there are a number of local restaurants within walking distance. Orders for breakfast are taken the night before and when the weather is good served in the garden. Freshly squeezed orange juice, beautiful bread and wonderful croissant. This really is a lovely place to stop and is close enough to better known (but busier) towns."

"One of the best places I've stayed in France, and I've stayed in a lot. From a lovely friendly smiley check in which came with a bonus golden retriever welcome, through to the breakfast and farewell the next morning everything was wonderful. The whole site is amazing, behind sky blue doors you're transported into calm with a stunning converted farmhouse and outbuildings surrounding a beautiful pool. Wandering further we found horses, chickens, 2 cats, the aforementioned dog and sheep. Heaven."
