La Taverne is located in Uzès, on a pedestrian street just a 2-minute walk from the Duché Castle. The tourist office is 100 metres from the property and Haribo Museum is 3 km away. The rooms at La Taverne are decorated in a contemporary style and include free WiFi access. Each one also features an LCD TV, air conditioning and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. Breakfast is available every morning in the breakfast room. Additional facilities at the hotel include luggage storage and newspapers at reception. Other local activities include driving the 14 km to Pond du Gard or visiting Nimes, which is a 30-minute drive away. The hotel is situated next to Uzès Tourist Office and the Town Hall. The bedrooms are either located on an upper floor and accessible by stairs or on the ground floor in the annex. The reception opens from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The hotel haven't the night receptionist.

"An excellent hotel on every account: warm and helpful reception; a very large room, perfectly clean; very quiet all night long; very conveniently located near the town center. The reception person helped me find an excellent restaurant open on Monday night (many are closed). One of my best experiences ever with a two-star hotel. I recommend it highly and with confidence."

"What we did not appreciate was that Booking.com never signalled to us that we had inadvertently clicked for two bookings for the same couple( us). This was an error which we discovered on arrival there. Had we booked directly with La Taverne, the owner would have queried whether this was a mistake. No one at Booking did this. Consequently, we had to pay for two rooms— the only thing that marred our stay. We will reconsider ever booking with Booking.com again, having noted that a direct booking removes chance of inadvertent errors like this because we would be dealing with other human beings."
"Great location, very sweet classic guesthouse. We stopped on our 3 day bicycle tour - they had a place to store bicycles in a garage around the corner which was great. Breakfast was good too. The style is a little dated but it was all clean and functional."

"Special feeling of staying in old half-timbered house built in 1569, well maintained and cosy. Apartment has all necessary facilities - bathroom, toilet, even kitchinette. The restaurant in the evening serves very special and delicious flammkuchen."

"Amazing location, swimming pool, lots of space, fantastic grounds, also great for bird watching around the properly (Nightingale, European Rollers, Bee-eaters, Hoopoes…). Great staff, warm welcome. We booked this last minute and it exceeded expectations. Close to a lot of places to go (including many nature spots) across the Camargue. No complaints. We are very likely to return and would stay for longer."

We travelled with two children and they loved their room up the small stairs to the top floor and found the nautical theme fun. Nestled in a beautiful and peaceful spot, it was the perfect end to our tour around France. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well cared for. We will be back!"
