"What a fantastic place to stay! From the moment we arrived, the welcome from Helene was superb. Showing us around this fabulous house and truly making us feel so welcome. The bedroom was stunning, we felt very special indeed, with everything we needed, and an extremely comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect, we wish we had booked to stay longer…what a find! What made our stay so magical was the owner, Helene. She went above and beyond to help us and this is what made our stay so special. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did. If you are visiting Saumur, stay at Aux Marquises but stay a couple of nights at least, it’s worth it!"

"This was our second visit. The property is elegant, rooms spacious and beautifully furnished. There is a lovely rose garden outside, where guests can sit, with a glass if wine or a picnic. It is situated on the Island of Offard, a short walk over the bridge to the centre of Saumur. The island also has its own centre with shops and restaurants. The property is in a quiet street, with street parking. Helene, the host is friendly and very helpful, and happy to suggest restaurant and places of interest nearby."

"I could not find fault with this accommodation. The house was flawless, one of the nicest places in which we have stayed in France. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious, and very quiet. Parking was not a problem and restaurants, the Loire river and Chateau Saumur all within easy walking distance. We were also invited to make use of the sitting rooms on the ground floor if we wished to read there. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts Héléne and Joel were most welcoming and could not have been more helpful. I would very happily stay here again and have no hesitation recommending it."
