"Plugged in fridge to store food & drink items in transit that needed cooling, but had to switch it off, as it was making a terrible noise that sounded terminal. We just left stuff outside in a cool bag, since it was a cold night, so no matter. Being English, we like to have milk in our tea & coffee, so useful to have some with us to hand, since few places in France have milk sachets in the room. The hosts however, who are very attentive, would definitely have helped us out if we had bothered them and asked."
