"The location is spot on right in the centre of the city. Not only that but it sits on top of a high rise building on the 31st floor. There is a roof terrace as well and the price is simply unbeatable. It's also one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed at."

"The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is near everything and the views from the balcony and rooftoop are great. Tea, coffee and bread are for free and they give you a complimentary beverage at their Cafe. Just note they take a deposit of 100 yuan that they will give you back in cash or app money when leaving. If this is your last stop in China that refund is not very convenient."

"The location is superb, the staff are amazing nice, the place was clean, bathroom available, a lot of extra things are offered: water, tea, bread, a very useful guide. The staff gave me very good ideas of things to do in Chongqing, with detailed explanation about how to go everywhere from the hostel. The hostel is very big, with various terraces and amazing views"

"The beds are connected in such a way that when someone moves, your bed is shaking. This made it impossible for me to sleep, on top of the noise. But if it wasn't for my bed shaking day and night, I think it's a nice place to stay, even for a long period. I got a bottom bed, all the beds were shaking when anybody was moving on their mattress."

"We stayed at Only Cafe and Backpacker in Chongqing and overall had a positive experience. The location is very good, and the views from the building are amazing. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The place has a very basic, backpacker-style setup, with shared rooms and not the most comfortable beds, so the facilities are not its strongest point. However, the great location and the friendly atmosphere make up for it. We were also invited to try a coffee at their café, Only Café, and it was a pleasant surprise — probably the best coffee we had during our trip."

"The location is great. You have two metro lines five minutes away, and most places are within a 30-minute walk. The social area is nice, and I had the chance to meet some people."

"What an incredible place! The staff are incredibly warm and helpful, and their detailed travel advice gave me a real insight into Chongqing. The rooftop terrace has absolutely stunning views. What really surprised me—and won me over—was the proper heating. Among the cities I’ve visited on this trip, none offered that comfort. This place is truly special. I’ll absolutely be coming back!"

"Wow, I’m back at this hotel and—oh my gosh—they actually have real northern-style heating here! Can you believe it? I’ve never seen anything like this in southern China. It’s absolutely amazing! And the best part? It’s nothing like that dry, stuffy air conditioning. The room feels incredibly cozy and warm—so comfortable that I just want to stay in all day and forget about going out. Seriously, I’m too happy to leave! The owner has really thought of everything. How thoughtful is that? I’m totally sticking with this place from now on. This is definitely my spot!"
