"It's a beautiful hotel 10 out of 10. So comfortable and pretty. Very clean and you can have a beautiful view of the Nile. I absolutely recommend this place. "It's a beautiful property- the room and facilities were great. The dinner was delicious and extremely generous- Rum and wine included as well. Breakfast had some nice continental options and I especially enjoyed the herb tea. The host was wonderful- I don't speak French but was very easy using google translate. She gave great instructions for arrival. She also looked after me as and made sure I got to the start of my hike safely- she asked another couple to drop me at the trail on their way to Marla after she realised I was going to walk up the windy mountain road! If you are getting a bus there is also a stop right outside- although take care to plan as the buses don't run frequently."

"We traveled on our bicycles and Highland lodge was the perfect stop between Afriski and Mokhontlong. Rooms were very large and so clean. Bed was very large and comfy. Staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend 👌🏼"

"Amazing place! Spotless room with a balcony and a truly breathtaking view. Delicious breakfasts every day. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, always happy to assist and organize activities. Kayaks available for guests. The bay is just a short walk away, making the location perfect. Absolutely loved our stay — highly recommended!"

"The host, Andrae was super friendly and helpful, I was able to check in a bit late, he also organised an early morning taxi for me to get to the airport. The location is great, right in the middle of Philipsburg and just minutes walk from the beach. You're surrounded by restaurants and shops. Price was excellent."

"Nuostabi vieta. Kiek toliau nuo miestelių, tai labai ramu. Šeimininkai nuostabus. Labai rūpinasi savo svečiais. Yra pirtis su kubilu, kuriuos galima nuomotis atskirai. Kadangi ten yra observatorija tai už papildomą minimalų mokestį galima stebėti žvaigždes per mikroskopą. Tikrai rekomenduoju."

"We stayed here in September after walking the Arctic circle trail. We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!"

As we were staying in someone's home and not a hotel, the place wasnt absolutely spotless, but it was clean and homey. It might not be to everybody's taste to share a bathroom with a family though.

"Great location, owner's pleasant personality, cleanliness, the feeling of home away from home,availability of all basic amenities, quietness, size of the accommodation, and the cost, parking on the enclosed compound added to the feeling of safety. As the first customer, the owners had a toast with me. That was great, unexpected, and exceptional. Will recommend it highly. 9/10"

"This place and it's owner offer truly valuable experience, it is very quiet, clean and comfortable. Very close to the nature, snorkeling beach, horses. Owner is very communicative, helpful, open-minded person. I can highly recommend the breakfast. If you don't like all inclusive monsters and want to place that has 'soul' it is for you. We'd love to get back to this place."

There’s no full kitchen available — just a small area with a microwave and an icebox. But considering the cost, it’s still a good deal.

Sehr bequemes Bett mit offenen Bettende und guter Matratze. Sehr ruhig. Frühstück mit verschiedener Wurst, Käse und Marmeladen und Gebäck. Vermieterin sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich."

Das kleine Badezimmer(chen) ist wirklich sehr klein. Ist aber kein Kritikpunkt, weil es wurde bei der Buchung schon drauf hingewiesen.

As a grown up solo traveller, who is oftentimes ready to accept challenging environments, I cannot make any critical remarks. Right now due to the russian full scale invasion, hospitality businesses all over Ukraine are struggling for survival, which makes critical remarks even more misplaced. The bottom line is – I liked the property.
