The Winzerhof is a cosy, family-run guest house with wine tavern and farm in Achau, only a few kilometres south of Vienna. Free WiFi is provided in all rooms. Located in a quiet side street in the centre of Achau, the Winzerhof is an ideal starting point for excursions to Laxenburg Palace (2 km), the Hinterbrühl with the lake grotto (Europe’s largest underground lake), the SCS (Europe’s largest shopping centre) and the centre of Vienna (15 km). Achau’s train station is only a few minutes’ walk away and offers direct connections to Vienna (20 minutes). The A2 motorway and the S1 expressway are easily reachable. Vienna Airport is only a 15-minute drive away.

"Massive gap between the curtains meant you had daylight streaming in through large windows - very bizarre. Need to replace curtains with ones you can actually shut to block out the light. Very rudimentary breakfast - nothing to get excited about."

"No tea/coffee making facilities in room or anywhere else where you could make a cup of tea at night. No block out curtain - decorative only with big 1 metre gap in middle so you can’t actually close it!"
"Good location for the end of our Austrian trip as an easy 20min drive to the airport. Lovely family run hotel. Large clean room with a sofa bed for the children. Interesting and delicious menu at the restaurant. There was a playground and garden for the children. Breakfast was a delight."
